I hereby certify that I have currently been or have been serving at least ninety (90) days honorably in the United States Marine Corps ON ACTIVE DUTY and have earned or have served or am currently in the United States the Eagle, Globe and Anchor* Serve in the Marine Corps Reserve and have earned fewer than ninety (90) retirement credits; or that I have served or am currently serving in the US Navy. have trained with Marine FMF units for more than ninety (90) days and have been issued a Marine Corps Device (clasp) or The Warfare Device bearing a service band authorized for FMF personnel; or served or currently serves as Commander in the United States Navy. and earned the FMF badge, serving in the Marines; If I’m released, I’ll get a DD Form 214 or a discharge certificate that says “Honorary Service.” (“Honorary Service” is defined by the most recent DD Form 214 or Certificate of Survival received by the applicant). Marine Corps League Uniform Code

Marine Corps League medals may be worn on any Marine Corps League uniform except casual, beginning with the distinctive medal/ribbon first and the others sequentially. See Section (4) of the National Award for more information. Under no circumstances shall Marine Corps Service medals/ribbons be worn with Marine Corps League medals/ribbons. It has to be one or the other. Marine Corps Service or Marine Corps League ribbons should be worn over the left shirt pocket.

The Marine Corps League insignia is worn on the left arm, 1.5 inches (1 1/2) below the shoulder. No service or unit insignia may be worn on the Marine Corps League uniform. The Devil Dog Patch is worn on the right arm and 1 1/2 inches below the shoulder seam.

US flag 2″ x 3 1/2″ on right arm 1 1/2″ below shoulder seam if not a MODD member and may be worn by Associate members.

All Marine Corps League members are eligible to wear the red cover. Members elected to a national office or national officers/committees may wear gold caps. The national commander will wear a white cap. The elected members or those elected at the department (in the state) level have been granted permission to wear the coverings of the Red Crown. Former commanders of state are permitted to wear gold with a white crown cover. Past Department Superintendent, Past Group Superintendent, Past Kennel Superintendent and Past National Superintendent of Young Marines are the only members permitted to wear their dress after completing their term of service for the years specified for that office. The rest of the staff will revert to what they wore before being appointed or put to work, removing the identifying threads of the past. The only insignia permitted to be worn on Marine Corps League caps is the Marine Corps Insignia on the left side. The Devil Dog Patch is worn on the front on the right side of the hood. The identification letters, i. H. the division or division stripe or decoration, are on the right side. When worn, the life stripe is on the back of the right side. The member’s life strip is worn in the same manner as identification strips are worn. NO division pins or other decorations may be worn on Marine Corps League caps.

Vavs Award — Marine Corps League Dept. Of Florida

The standard Marine Corps league cover is the minimum piece of uniform worn by members who must be considered “in uniform”. Members attending memorial services and wearing the MCL uniform are permitted to wear “White Gloves” as worn by the uniformed services. The wearing of white gloves is at the discretion of the senior officer in charge of the details. Although uniforms and uniforms worn with a standard cover may bear the title of the Marine Corps or Marine Corps League and may be an appropriate uniform, that uniform is not a league uniform. Uniforms marked “UNIFORM – MALE” ONLY; “UNIFORM – WOMAN”; “UNIFORM FOR EACH MEMBER”; and “CEREMONIAL UNIFORM” is the sanctioned uniform of the Marine Corps League. Deviations from the prescribed uniform are not permitted. In inclement weather (rain, snow, sleet, or cold), the Department of the Interior or departmental commanders may authorize the wearing of outerwear suitable for wearing the Marine Corps League uniform. Proposed changes to the Uniform Code must be submitted, however there is a procedure for amending national rules and procedures.

Ordinary men and women of departments and/or organizations with “COLOR GUARDS” may wear the “CEREMONIAL Uniform” (see Associate Member Uniform) when participating in the Color Guard or Ceremonial Rifle Honor Squat.
